I spotted this on the corner of Hindmarsh Square a while back ... but it took me a long time to get a perfect shot. Love it--it's certainly fair more eye catching that your average traffic signal box!
Every now and again, I like to ponder the tough questions. Like what would happen if the teenage trolls who repeatedly go to Yahoo! Answers and ask whether libraries keep the bible in the fiction or non-fiction section bothered to educate themselves about the dewey decimal system. But that would never happen. Anyway, another all-important question I've been pondering since I started writing this blog and revisiting a number of children's books is this. Did R.L. Stine use ghostwriters for his Goosebumps and Fear Street series? A little research (thanks, google) has brought up some mixed results. This article suggests that Stine did indeed write all 100+ novels on his own, with his wife acting as editor. I think that family and friends have compared me to Jo March from Little Women, or more specifically Winona Ryder's portrayal of Jo March in the 1994 film adaption of Little Women, which can be summed up in part here: Ahh, the young writer with big dre
Wow, can it really be time for Feature and Follow Friday already? This has been a massive week for me, not only did I have a fantastic afternoon signing copies of Being Abigail at Collins Booksellers Edwardstown , but you can all expect a big, book related announcement from me soon. Anyway, as I'm sure most of you know, Feature and Follow Friday is an awesome weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read designed to help like-minded bloggers connect. This week's all-important question is: Q: We always talk about books that WE want. Let's turn it on its head. What books have you given other people lately? Ooh, I love buying books for other people. I love thinking about what the other person might like to read and enjoy, and then there is always that bit of hope where I think that perhaps this book will end up being their favourite, or at least one of their favourites. The last book I bought for someone though was a Stephenie Alexander cookboo
