Feature and Follow Friday

Hi all! I've missed the past two Feature and Follow Fridays due to having a lot of weird shit going on in my personal life due to being rather busy coming up with an idea for a novel about a young woman who has a lot of weird shit going on in her personal life. Anyway, on a brighter note, Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkie's View designed to help book bloggers meet and connect. Most weeks there is a question to answer, but because Feature and Follow Friday is celebrating its 100th meme, the hosts have decided to do things a little differently this time. This week, everyone participating in the meme will feature one of their favourite blogs. So ... drumroll please ...

One of my favourite stops in the blogosphere is Write Now. Hosted by JLT (who I've know for some time from various writing forums,) this blog puts together some of the most useful and practical advice for writers. Regardless of whether you're just starting out, or have several years of experience you'll find plenty of useful tips and tricks, as well as a number of prompts to help get the creative juices flowing and interviews with various authors. Definitely worth your time.

Wow, I'm honoured. Thanks Kathryn, what I'm most glad about is that you've enjoyed the blog enough to share it on your own site. It also means a lot to me because blogging is such a new thing, and despite starting for the third time, it's finally paid off. And it's a load of fun. Oo, and I get my own drumroll ;D

Well I hope all comes together for your 'character'...I firmly believe it always does :) On the note of writing this comment, I thought I also might add that Undercover Boss Australia comes on telly every weekday here in the UK, and I usually watch it, and being that you are the only Australian person I actually know (minus celebs), I think of you every time, and definitely how lucky you are to live in such an amazing country!

Keep posting, that's to say that I have a short attention span when reading reviews, but I've read through all the ones you've posted without trouble and it's great to read your thoughts on them.

Thanks again :)

You're very welcome! I'm really enjoying your blog--I love the positive and inspiring nature of the posts. Too many blogs about writing complain about the difficulties that writers face, while yours is about inspiring writers of all levels to go forward.

I enjoy living in Australia, though it's cold this time of year. I'd love to visit England. I have family who live there, so maybe one day ...

My "character" is in a happy place now, but it certainly has been a strange couple of weeks. Glad that you're enjoying the reviews--I try to add a little personal or historical reference if I can.

Thanks Kathryn! Also thanks for diverting some more traffic to my blog via this post of yours!

As simple as it seems, I always get a little amazed knowing it's winter where you are now, just because I'm so used to being told June is Summer, although being a Brit, I should know better than that with all this rain!

I'm glad your 'character' is in a happy place, and I just remembered, I read this brilliant post earlier today. I wanted to share it with someone, but wasn't sure who, but I hope you'll like it: http://positiveboomer.wordpress.com/2012/06/09/written-by-a-90-year-old/

Take care!
