Several months ago I committed myself to reviewing the books in Indigo Bloome's Avalon trilogy and here it is ... time for the final installment. And how to sum it up? Destined to Fly is by no means any less unbelievable than the first two books in the series, however, it is pleasing the see the author making use of her talent to write about something other than Dr Alex Blake's somewhat unusual (and that's putting it mildly,) sexual fetishes and adventures. In this installment, the plot veers off in an unexpected direction when Alex and her family go into hiding from the Xsade company who want more of her rare blood. While hiding in the Amazon, Alex finds herself on a spiritual journey that yields some surprising results.  Bloome is a talented author whose ability to write a suspenseful page turner is commendable. I enjoyed this series and the fact that it was not at all predictable and certainly not the Fifty Shades of Grey rip-off that I had envisioned when ...

Sexy, suspenseful and, in places, completely ludicrous, the second novel in Indigo Bloome's Avalon trilogy makes interesting bedtime reading. Picking up from the cliffhanger ending of Destined to Play, Destined to Feel opens with Dr Alexandra Blake being abducted in London. Her captors? The owner of a pharmaceutical company who want to develop a drug that they believe will be the female equivalent to Viagra. Alex is the perfect woman to test their new drug, due to the comprehensive and well documented experiments that her lover, Dr Jeremy Quinn conducted during their weekend together, and the fact that she has a rare blood type. Taken to an underground testing facility, Alex is asked to take part in a series of increasingly odd sexual experiments. But the big question is, does Alex really want to escape? (You know, I'm really starting to wonder why Indigo Bloome is planning for the third book in the series. So far every area of this woman's fucked ...

Fans of Indigo Bloome's Destined to Play  will be pleased to know that the second installment in the Avalon series, Destined to Feel  will be released on October 1. The author is offering a free extract from the novel on her official facebook page. (Interested? Follow this link .) I have read through the extract and just as with Destined to Play , I enjoyed the suspenseful nature  of Bloome's writing (it certainly gets off to an interesting start). I also liked that part of this extract was from Jeremy's perspective. It did make me smile a bit when I read a paragraph where Alexa addresses the speculation from other women as to whether or not she is a good mother--as this was one of the criticisms that some readers, myself included, had about the first book, i.e. how could the main character not give a thought to her children and what effect her affair could potentially have on them. I will be interested to see how the rest of the novel pans out ... ...
